Trump Warns BRICS Nations on Dollar Replacement Plans

Trump Warns BRICS Nations Against Replacing the U.S. Dollar

In a recent statement, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump issued a stern warning to BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) member nations. He demanded that they refrain from creating a new currency or supporting any currency that would challenge the dominance of the U.S. dollar in international trade. Failure to comply, Trump stated, would result in a 100% tariff on goods sold to the United States.

Trump shared his views on his social media platform, Truth Social, emphasizing that any nation attempting to replace the U.S. dollar would face severe economic consequences. “We require a commitment from these countries that they will neither create a new BRICS currency, nor back any other currency to replace the mighty U.S. dollar. If they do, they will face 100% tariffs and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. economy,” Trump wrote.

In his message, Trump further asserted that BRICS countries attempting to challenge the dollar’s global status would ultimately fail. “They can go find another ‘sucker.’ There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. dollar in international trade, and any country that tries should wave goodbye to America,” he added.
